A Photo Guide to Eastern Market

Sunday, August 2, 2015

the graffiti all around the market is incredible, so don't be afraid to stop and take a picture. look up, look down- the art is all over.

the first thing you must absolutely do is make a stop to the food trucks. my favorite is "el guapo grill" - seriously the best burrito bowl ever. even better than chipotle. *gasps*

after walking through the various sheds, you need to make a stop at "grandad's tea" to re-fresh yourself. the sweet tea is my favorite, but they've got other flavor options too! find them in shed three!

a pit stop to "eastern market antiques" is another must. if you're not in the mood to purchase any antiques, at least look around - you never know who you might see just hanging around...

if you are in the mood to shop some antiques, don't be afraid to haggle, they're willing to negotiate prices + it makes for a great experience.

to top off your trip to the market, you absolutely have to stop at Germack Coffee Roasting Co. it is seriously some of the best coffee I've ever tasted. there's usually a bit of a line since they are always busying grinding beans upon order, but it is well worth the wait!

finally, take one last stroll through the flower shed. while the best buds need to be scoured for first thing in the morning, you can get less showy florals for a killer price since the vendors are just eager to get rid of their inventory.

Do you have a farmer's market nearby that you love to go to? What's your favorite part? (Mine's usually the coffee!)
