Today I mixed prints, and I could not be more pleased with how it turned out. I really just want to show people that mixing two different styles doesn't have to be a scary thing at all! My sweater is from Forever 21, and what I love about it, besides it's boxy fit, is how the navy stripes change in size on the lower half. To add some contrast, I paired the sweater with this floral accented scarf, which my boyfriend got me for Christmas. What makes this duo work so well is that I kept the pair in the same color scheme. The scarf features purples and navies, as well as some pink and red. Because the hues are similar, it looks well structured rather than chaotic. My jeans are actually hand-me-downs, but still chic with the funky stripe detail down the side. The shoes are borrowed from my moms closet. They're chunky and make my feet look kind of large, but oddly enough I really like the way the look when paired with the right outfit combination.
