Brunch So Hard

Wednesday, November 18, 2015

I wore this outfit to brunch this past Sunday with my friend Kate and it was perfect for the breezy afternoon. I love this sweater because it's got a subtle ruffle detailing at the bottom. While I kind of looked / felt like a watermelon, I loved the simplicity of this outfit.

Shoutout to Annmarie for letting me borrow this sweater 2+ weeks ago for a date and not getting mad at me for not giving it back yet. I promise I'll get it back to you soon.

Also shoutout to Kate for taking my pics for me and understanding that its a necessity.

Statement Dress

Wednesday, November 11, 2015

I have literally had these pictures on my camera for a month, but there's no time like the present to post them, am I right? This is the dress I wore on preference night while I was a Rho Gamma for sorority formal recruitment. I absolutely love this dress, and it has been my go-to for meetings and family events. It's hues are perfect for fall, and I am so happy I took a risk buying this dress, since it's a bit out there for my usual style!

Fall Transition

Wednesday, September 16, 2015

Here's a typical outfit I'll wear to class while transition into fall. Right now my campus is still really hot, but the mornings and certain lecture halls tend to be really chilly. To combat this, I'll pair a simple button down with some breezy linen shorts and just call it a morning.

How do you transition into fall?

Chaco-bout It

romper (similar)  // necklace (similar) // chacos

Here are some quick pics from my first day of school outfit! I absolutely adore this romper, and it's so easy and effortless while still being comfy. And can we chaco-bout the shoes? I absolutely love my chacos and will wear them with anything. Literally. Anything.

What did you wear for the first day of classes?

Dress: Lilly x Target // Sun hat: Target // Sandals: local boutique

Sadly, this is the second and last look from my Lilly x Target haul! Wanna know a little secret? I wasn't originally a fan of this print! I thought the giraffes were a bit too loud for my taste and I pictured it to be an awkward shift. Once I tried it on though, I could see how very wrong I was! The print is actually pretty flattering, and can we talk about the crochet detailing on the back zipper? Absolutely to die for! I think this dress would be great for a fun brunch date with the girls or for a bit of a nicer birthday party! It's definitely a conversation piece- that's for sure!

Are you a fan of the giraffe print?

Nosey Posey

Top: Lilly x Target / Jeans: American Eagle / Shoes: Sperry / Sunnies: Urban Outfitters

This post is long overdue seeing as the Lilly x Target line came out over a week ago, but here it finally is! This is the first of two looks, and I am so happy to be able to share it with you all! Now I have to be honest with you - I originally didn't want this shirt. But when you're running into the store and combing the racks for items in your size, you will basically take what you can get. After trying on this shirt I fell in love and I am so glad that I was able to scoop it up. (To make this shirt better, me and my Mellie will be twinning with it- we of course both bought it. #roomieprobs). While the deep v is a bit risque for me, I love the print and style of this shirt and I can see myself wearing it a ton throughout the summer! This top would also be great with a pair of white skinnies and some wedges!

How else would you style the Nosey Posey tank?

P.S. how fun are these braids? I'm absolutely obsessed!

Black + Floral

Thursday, April 9, 2015

I'm not sure if kimonos are seasonly acceptable yet, much less still in style, but after having this hanging in my closet for the past year I was dying to break it out on the sunniest day this week. These pictures were taken only a couple of days ago (shoutout to Annmarie for helping me out), but the weather has been anything but sunny since *cries*. I love the coziness of the overcast skies, but it's been making me tired at a time when I need to be buckling down before finals. This outfit was so nice for the breezy sunny day, and I'm hoping for the sun to come back out so I can wear it again soon! (Yes, I am an outfit repeater.)

What do you think of kimonos?
