Summer To-Do List

Sunday, April 24, 2016

Hi friends!

As I near my summer break (and procrastinate on packing up my belongings), I can't help but fear wasting my time off from school. Obviously I have to #werk, but I want to enjoy my free time as much as I possibly can. As someone who craves adventures and new experiences the way some crave chocolate, I decided what better way to hold myself accountable than to post my ventures on the internet??

Let's get crackin'...

{via}

1 / Cook with avocados more - those lil buggers are way too delicious to not eat all summer long

2 / Move towards a more paleo-based appetite and eat more like a caveman

3 / Be outdoors more (and work on that chaco tan)

4 / Find a local coffee shop to escape to on rainy days

5 / Go on adventures, whether that means the zoo, the west side of the state, or the UP

6 / Invest in a dang hammock already

7 / Take the kayak out and just *float*

8 / Create a new savings plan because adulting doesn't stop when school does

9 / Learn to be an earl(ier) riser

10 / Make my bedroom a more zen place

11 / Update my blog layout so it's a more true reflection of me

12 / Find a place to hike in this state

13 / Keep fresh flowers in my room weekly

14 / Frame new pictures and swap out old ones

What do you hope to accomplish this summer?

Old Favorites

Wednesday, July 15, 2015

shirt / shorts / sandals / bag (this season's version) / sunglasses

Sometimes summertime fashion just comes down to straight comfort. On extremely hot days like today, I gravitate to old favorites of mine. My grey slouchy tee is stretched out, worn, and thinning- so basically it's perfect. These neon pink chinos have been perfectly broken in over years of wear. Last year's Jacks are now perfect for leisurely strolls or taking in sights along the boardwalk. My bag is old. Like, really old. It's roomy enough for adventuring but still stylish enough to be out in public with. And my hair? This is my new go-to. Half fishtail, half regular braid. I do this when it's hot and I don't want to be bothered (get it, hot & bothered?). Bad jokes aside, this is a perfect casual summer outfit!

What hot weather wear do you gravitate to?

Beach Shorts

tank / shorts (on sale now!) / bag (similar)

This tank is making another appearance on my blog because it's honestly perfect. It's lightweight, pairs with nearly everything, and just looks great. These shorts have also been featured on the blog (this post, actually!). Bonus about these shorts? They're currently on sale! I own them in two colors and I highly suggest getting your hands on them, they're fabulous.

What are fashion favorites you own multiples of?

tank (sold out, but similar) / shorts / sandals

Winning these shorts from yepitsprep was one of the coolest things that's happened to me. Before I even got these shop konfetti shorts, I was in love. These bad boys made the journey down south and they were perfect for lazy strolls around town or for casual coffee dates. They're so lightweight that they became a summer fav of mine instantly and now I totally want more of them (I've got my eye on this pair & this pair)!

Have you ordered anything from shop konfetti?

Poolside

Wednesday, June 24, 2015

One of my favorite things about summer is the fact that it's acceptable to lounge around in a bathing suite and cover up all day and it is completely apart of the norm. Lounging poolside in a great cover up is a must, so of course I had to share this look with all of you! One of my favorite summer must-haves has been my kroakies- particularly this one! It's from Marley Lilly and has a fun saying on the inside strap (Get Nauti). I love shopping for cover ups, and since this one is no longer available (it's nearly 3 summers old now!) I figured I would give you guys some other great options!

Which cover up is your fav?

Summer Wish List

Thursday, May 7, 2015

Whether summer break is already here for you or it's quickly approaching, I've rounded up some must have items for you to save up for this summer! For your spontaneous trips, a longchamp is the perfect tote for all your belongings. To capture your memories, a hero is the camera for you (perfect in water too!). Stay hydrated this summer with a stunning bkr bottle, or keep your cool with a cute and functional baseball hat. Add some shine to your simple tanks with a long gemstone necklace, or keep things casual with a pair of classic sandals given a new twist. Whatever you may need this summer, it's all here!

Happy shopping!
